This past March I had the privilege of donating my time to shoot for the Missouri Heart Gallery. I was able to meet and photograph three wonderful teens for the project. It is such a worthwhile program and I had a blast doing it. Last forward to tonight...I received a wonderful e-mail from the director of the project thanking all the photographers for participating. It had several links which I will put below featuring stories about the program. In her e-mail Jennifer mentioned that 46 of the children featured in the gallery had found their forever homes....incredible!! So I went to their website to check on my three.....and I'm happy to report that Rebecca has found her forever home....I have goose bumps and can't stop the tears from flowing....I am thrilled for Rebecca...I fell in love with her from the moment I met her....quiet, sweet with a unbelievable inner strength. I actually mentioned to her case worker that if I had room I would adopt her in a minute....she told me to watch what I say or she'd make it happen!! :) I pray that many more of the children will be placed by the end of the tour and I can't wait to participate again next year. It was a humbling experience to say the least.
